The vintage of this unit, is circa 1970.I am nearly certain, that the wireing in the arm, is where the trouble is.Otherwise this turntable works fine. I have a 110VDC Magna-Lock that does not hold a part. If I unplug the lead going to the magnet base I have 130. VDC. When I plug it back in I have 64. VDC. I measure strobong resistance on the two leads going to the magnet. Is this repairable and if so do you repair them. It is powered by a transformer and vaccum tube assembly that I have no idea how it works. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I just bought a Magnavox at an estate sale and love the sound!!Cant find info. on this model, might you know what year it is?I will have to replace the stylus. Will I have to remove the whole arm to reinstall the stylus?Also, when i turn the volume up the speakers dont sound right, as if the radio is slightly out of tune. hello, i have a magnavox Hi-Fi record player model TP246-D,probably from the 50s early 60s. looks like a suitcase, i want to replace the stylus, its removed by a thumb screw and it has both needles next to each other, the needle # are believed to be.Diamond tip .001 and safire tip .003 i think the part number is,560187-1 or possibly 566187-1 the plate is hard to read.any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I have a magnavox cabinet stereo that was apparently damaged in some fashion by two children. It worked well just 2 days ago. The model number is 3CP605. I removed the stylus and its a disaster. Do you have any suggestion? The cabinet is really too big to ship.

I have a Magnavox 32MF231D/37, the other day went into the room the screen was black like the tv was off, there was no sound but the green led light was on. I am unable to shut the tv power off with remote or by hand, I have tried unpluging. But still same result, Black creen and no sound, LED stays solid greenAny suggetion? Thank you!!

HII have a 1963 Portable Magnavox suitcase style stereo & I know it needs a little work for the speakers. I believe it would be a loose wire or something like that but if I try to fix it, it will be no longer any good, Im not good at fixing things.I was wondering if you had the schematic for this model because I found someone who may be able to fix it but says he may need the schematic to do so.
