Bob Gaddis: I have a 1988 LeRoi compressor 185 cfm Perkins diesel that has a C.A.V. primary fuel filter located near the fuel tank. It has the secondary filter monted on the engine. The secondary filter uses a 33166 canister filter. The primary did not have a filter element in it, just a metal cone. Is this filter supposed to have a filter element inside? If so, does anyone have a part # ?

joe kelley: I recently purchased a 1978 Ford 7000 equpped with a road striping unit. It has a Leroi Dresser Compressor. It also has a hydraulic system driven by a Perkins diesel engine that drives both the hydraulics and the compressor. It starts up with no problem and will pump air up to 160 lbs, psi and then pops off the pressure relief mounted on the tank. I have no idea what is wrong and who can service this in the upstate Albany, New York area. I would also like to know if there is a manual, parts list. etc that I could obtain. kit rosling: I have purchased a leroi, dresser compressor recently but the engine has not run for quite some time (5 yrs ?) and is obvious that it has had water in the heads and visible rust stains outside the block. Joe : hi i have a 1600 comp,when i load it up it sometimes goes and sometims not,its like the engine isnt picking up the rpms,it will idle at 1300rps sometimes but it seems to just want to kill the engine.it has a cat engine,i even hot wired the fuel shut off just incase that was the problem,i know it is something simple but it has me beat,can you give me a few tips on a possible problem..Joe

John Mitchell: Serial # 3138X226. The unit will not deliver any compressed air. When the valve is opened, it gives one little "poof " and nothing more. It seems to be making compressed air because when I shut the engine off, the compressor "blows down ". It was working fine up until this problem. David Swaney: I have a LeRoi air compressor, serial # 3120x250. I found another # A219-89. Assembled @ Dresser Industries Inc. Sidney, Ohio. 62-48 I have a few issues with it. First issue is over heating. So I should probably install a new thermastat, but cant seem to find and purchase in my area. The second issue is, leaking at the oil cooler which is located between engine oil filter and engine. Cant seem to find a replacement part for that either. I do automatic underground sprinklers, which need to be blown out every fall to keep from freeze damage duing winter. I am in a bit of a hurry because it is my only compressor and my one thousand costumers are counting on me to blow out there sprinklers. A quick response to solve these problems is very appretiated.
