Richard Harbert: We have a brand new (never used) 15 year old vacuum pump with a Leland Faraday motor attached to it. We need to wire it for 208 220 volts but the wiring instructions are missing. The id tag on the motor says it is Type: ASFA BB and Model: LFI 84015C. The wires all have their id tags, we just need to know which to connect together for the 208 220 connection.If you can help us out, please let me know.Thanks.

Julien Lepitre: I have a 1.5 HP motor, it has 4 wires, one black, one red, and two that appear to be brown? They may of been a different color before? I had to wipe grease off of them just too see the red, and black wires. Other info I have is a Type # R 59, 110 220 volts, No.3639L3580, CV 3071, FR 203 4, 1725RPM, 60 cyl, form BICWJH, plate also says Guelph Ontario.I am looking to know what the other two colors are, and which combination of colored wires too hook it up for 220 volt operation, any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Bob Washburne: Hello. I recently purchased a used 60-gallon air compressor which appears to be about 50-years old. It is driven by a L-F motor. It was wired for 220V operation. There is no diagram to convert it to 115V. The wires have small, narrow colored strips of tape around them which appear to be from the factory. Yellow and Black were connected together at motor To reverse you changed the Red and Black The motor is wired as 220V 1 Phase. I had no wiring for the motor but I did have the Plate The switch is a square D class 2601 type Ag-1. the motor is a 1.5 hp 1 ph cont dutym 204 frame 60 hz 1725 rpm 230 v 9.6 amp code K amb 40 I thimk this is the model # 51 J17 7111 1 76D M 326

Ron Rocap: Thanks anyhow guys I figured it out, Just sat down with my dog (he wasn 't much help but company) got the motor reversing and running foward without any mishaps.Didn 't need any repair just info. they didn 't seem to want to share any info. I 'm sure the motor came with some instructions for an electrician.

TOM CALGARO: I HAVE A 1980'S LELAND FARADAY WATER WELL PUMP 1RM2-S A 4H7127119, SK 2ABN-175. THE PUMP IS LEAKING WHERE THE MOTOR SHAFT GOES INTO THE OTHER UNIT AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S THE BEARING. MY QUESTION IS, CAN THIS BEARING BE REPLACED AND IF SO WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE CORRECT BEARING?
