Our current cover is kind of an almond color. After remodeling our living room, all of the vents, outlets, etc. have been done in white. Would it be possible to purchase a white cover to replace the almond one for our door chime? What would the cost be?Please respond even if not available before I resort to spray painting our current one. Thank you very much.

This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. Similiar issue, my doorbell kept sticking. So I replaced the sticky button but now my springs inside the bell housing seem to be sprung and unable to move the plunger the full range to ring or retract.
