I have a emerson rittenhouse rcm 4 main unit with IR6 speakers throughout a house i purchased and am interested in upgrading the entire system. Is there a replacement system where it can be changed out?It will be a few months before I am ready to do it, but am trying to look at options and replacement.

I moved this door chime/clock when it was working from one home to another. The electrician that hooked it up did not do it correctly and I have no schematic for how it should be wired. I know it needs three wires but not sure on which of the 7 screws they get wired to. The installation manual has been misplaced and I am not sure which wires go to which connection. There is a red wire, a black wire, and a yellow with a green wire. This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. This is a repeating pattern.If a lighted door button is used, the solution is to either replace the button with a non-lighted version, or open the button and disconnect the light inside it.Yes, I had this problem myself. I had replaced an old doorbell button with a new, lighted one. I ripped out the tiny light inside and it worked fine after that.
