I have a emerson rittenhouse rcm 4 main unit with IR6 speakers throughout a house i purchased and am interested in upgrading the entire system. Is there a replacement system where it can be changed out?It will be a few months before I am ready to do it, but am trying to look at options and replacement.

I have the exact same problem, but it\'s not caused by a lighted doorbell. Without the doorbell connect (and not crossing the wires) the chime mechanism keeps repeating. Don\'t know what\'s wrong with the unit. Do ya\'ll know what the input voltage is supposed to be? The back of the unit says only use a \"no. 35 transformer\".

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place.
