Hi, I acquired (2) old Mutoh IP530 pen plotters from about 1990 or so. Iplan on using 3 of the stepper motors and one of the drive boards for aCNC router table. I need to somehow eliminate the on-board plotter CPU.is there a way I can wire the drive board directly to my parallel porton my computer without going through the CPU board? if so, I cancontrol the motors with off-the-shelf CNC software. I have a 110VDC Magna-Lock that does not hold a part. If I unplug the lead going to the magnet base I have 130. VDC. When I plug it back in I have 64. VDC. I measure strobong resistance on the two leads going to the magnet. Is this repairable and if so do you repair them. It is powered by a transformer and vaccum tube assembly that I have no idea how it works. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am repairing a door lock at an apartment block showing these symptoms.A transformer feeding the MA-485 is outputting 19.25 volts...will this harm the unit.It is a 16 volt amplifier.B when an apartment station depresses the door button the output at the amplifier terminals for the ac door reads 19.25 volts...but when it is released it only drops to 18.85 volts...which makes me think the relay is stuck on the amplifier.....bottom line do I need a new controller?C the electric strike shows a rating of 24 vac? how could this function well on a 16 volt system?It appears to have been part of this system for some time..and the caretaker has said there are problems with the system as far as people getting in without being buzzed. what is the lowest voltage a 24 volt buzzer could activate at?

To Whom it may concern,I am working for Chevron and we are tiring to gather some inform by monitoring \"real time\" the anchor tensions of the barge we have moored to our deepwater platform here in Indonesia. We have installed some Electronic Memory Pressure Gauges to the Martin Decker line tension system they have on the barge (psi value) and then wish to import this information to a spread sheet and convert the psi value to a pound or kilogram value, as per the request of our Global Mooring Team, but we need to find out the formula in which to convert this data. We have a mirtone EC200 installed in a 36 unit Sr. Care complex with standard call switches in each unit and a call light outside the entry door on the exterior of each unit. The system is powered with a 24VAC transformer. We would like to replace the outdoor lights with a Horn/Strobe combination unit to provide for better indication of the call request for emergency personnel. QUESTION: Can we replace the 24VAC transformer with a 24VDC power supply so that we can use 24VDC horn/strobes on the exterior of the buildings? I was recently having my Mutoh printer transported when it tipped over in the truck and it slammed down directly on the ink cartridge slot assembly. The ink cartridges were jammed into the machine breaking all the slot mechanisms and snapping off the plastic ink ports at the couplers feeding the metal ink tubes. I am having power issues with my Mutoh VJ-1204 printer.I sent a print to the machine yesterday which caused the printer to failed mysteriously with an error code in the display, however I was unable to capture the error code displayed before cycling the machine. We recently installed a new print head on our Mutoh Valujet 1304 and I think the tech shorted out the network port on the motherboard (nothing I can prove). I have a question on a Machinemate control that I\'m working on. We finished a retrofit on a mill about 6 years ago, and the machine has been working fine. But recently the probe function stopped working and the next day they had trouble booting up the machine. They had called a technician in, and he had to fix windows to get the control to boot. Windows didn\'t recognize machinemate after that, and he had to reload the machinemate software, and the ladder program. This is where the customer called us. When the other tech reloaded some of the control he didn\'t get some of the options reloaded like the extra tool table positions. We got everything back up and the machine is running again, except for the probe. Its been awhile since we worked on MachineMate so we think we got everything reloaded in the folders that they are suppose to be in. When they try to touch off their part with the probe, the axis doesn\'t stop feeding. From what we can tell the probe is working fine, and is generating a signal. Is there any parameters we need to double check or when windows got corrupted could it still be causing problems? Thanks

We have a Melco EMT 10/4T machine with a start-up boot problem. I believe there may be a electronics hardware problem (memory error?). Error is “BOOT DISK ERROR_”. After replacing the floppy disk drive and new boot floppy disk a closer examination indicates a problem in the self test routine (I think). The system used to go through the self tests and then looks for the floppy but now stops after the RSA Memory Test PASSED, and immediately displays "B4" and stays there until enter is pushed again.Do you have any idea where to start troubleshooting?
